Hi, I’m Shola. Thanks for dropping by my website! I’ve been working in the music industry for almost 10 years in a variety of roles from PR to Events. I currently work full time as a Senior Mastering Booker at Metropolis Studios, In addition I also do Radio and Podcast production, live audio recordings and Playlist Curation.

I was lead Producer for the September edition of the Sound Women podcast. Sound Women is an incredible network which encourages, supports and promotes women in UK radio. Nicki Bannerman chaired the round table discussion, starring Edith Bowman (Virgin Radio), Charlie Hedges (Kiss) and A.Dot (BBC 1Xtra). They all discussed their roles as current breakfast radio hosts and much more! Nicki also chatted to Heidi Secker, from regional breakfast show Heart East Anglia.

For The Manifesto magazine, which connects music industry sectors through a creative medium, I produced a podcast through Boom Shakalaka Productions. The podcast pairs music industry bods from a wide range of areas, and provides and interesting insight into their area of expertise. The one I produced was a conversation with Radio Producer Ami Bennett and A&R man Dan Market.
The Head of Events at the recently re-opened Dreamland approached me to curate the music for some of their rides. This was a wonderful challenge, and my goal was to create a playlist which encapsulated the era of the rides at the park. Dreamland originally opened in the 1920s, but due to the decline of visitors in the late 2000s, it sadly closed. An enthusiastic public campaign to have Dreamland reinstated (including support from Fashion Designer Wayne Hemmingway) proved to be a popular cause and the doors successfully re-opened on 19 June 2015. An added bonus was being given the opportunity to DJ at the opening event, it was a great evening! Have a listen to some of the tracks I selected for the rides here...
The greatest festival in the UK, Bestival, also happens to have the greatest radio setup! I got involved with the wonderful people at Bestival Radio and produced some of their shows on site at the festival. It was an incredibly memorable time and a lot of fun was had. I produced a mix of shows for guest presenters such as Magnetic Man, Roots Manuva and Collen ‘Cosmo’ Murphy’ – founder of the fantastic Classic Album Sundays. You can listen to Magnetic Man’s show here
